ABOUT US

Funding Support has now been around for just over 13 years and in that time has worked with a wide range of funders, grantmakers and local community groups and charities. We have:

  • Worked with and supported 12 funders and grantmakers​

  • Assessed and reviewed over 900 grant applications

  • Secured over £8m for charities and community groups

  • Delivered training to over 650 people, helping them to understand funders and grantmakers

James Kirkpatrick

James has worked within funding for over 20 years, working for the Community Fund, Big Lottery Fund and BBC Children in Need before setting up Funding Support.

He has supported the work of the Boots Charitable Trust for 8-years, and continues to work with the East Midlands Funding Forum across the region, supporting the network of funders, grantmakers and investors. James also continues to assess grant applications for a number of funders including  the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, Comic Relief, and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.

Over the last 13 years James has worked with charities and community groups helping them to secure grants from trust, foundations and other sources.
